What Causes Coughing While Laughing?

Hi! I seem to cough every time I laugh. Been happening for almost 10 years. I went for a swim about 40m and I was wheezing, had shortness of breath, headache and felt faint. I also get a cough attack now and then which lasts for about 30mins and is mucusy. I have never smoked. Could I have asthma?
