Hi,
The commonest causes are one of the following or a combination of more than one factor:
Allergic rhinopharyngitis.
Reaction to some allergens in the bedroom like mold, mildew and fungi or pollen with dust.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and ENT
Endoscopy.
CT scan of nose and
sinuses if there is any postnasal drip to rule out
sinus infection.
Nasal decongestant drops.
Antihistamine.
Oral
steroids if the above medication fails.
Change the linen in bed and sofa.
Watch out for any damp area in the living room, bedroom and get it corrected.
All this will lead to control of the causative agent and thus help you recover.
Take care, avoid allergens that instigate or enhance the problems.
I hope this answer helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
