What Causes Cramping, Diarrhea, And Blood While Having A Bowel?
Hi! My brother was told by a public health aide in October that he had giardia and has been given medications. He is 28 years old, 5'10, and 166 lbs, and has been relatively healthy his whole life. He is still experiencing cramping, diarrhea, and blood when he has a bowel. Is this consistent with giardia or does it sound like something else?

It can be a viral,bacterial or parasitic infestion.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Drink lots of water and other fluids
-use over-the-counter medications, such as loperamide (Imodium A-D)
-use probiotic
-eat small amounts of food
