HI
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic .

If the pain is severe then yes it's a matter of concern and you need to get medical attention as early as possible .

The probable causes of your Abdominal cramps are

1. Partial Intestinal Obstruction : In which the digested food cannot move forward and hence the intestine contracts forcefully to push it forwards causing cramping pain .

2. Pancreatitis : Is a condition in which there is inflammation of pancreas . Classically pain increases on taking food .

3. Kidney stones .
4. Gall Bladder Stones .

I advise you to get Ultrasound abdomen pelvis , Urine routine , Serum Lipase test , LFT test done and revert back with reports .

Till then you can take an Anti-spasmodic medication like Drotaverine for symptomatic relief . Ask your doctor for the prescription .

Any doubts feel free to ask .
