What Causes Cramping While Preparing For Colonoscopy?
I am prepping for a colonoscopy. I drink 60 ounces before first bowel. I could not finish due to nearly vomiting. During the 7th bm, I noticed I am bleeding bright red. I am positive that it is vaginal. About 10 minutes later, I started cramping right in the middle abdominal above vagina. Still bleeding and cramping seems to be getting worse. I have not have my period for a year due to depo. Last shot in October 2010. I am 27. No known family history of issues in this body area. Is this menstrual or could something be wrong?
After hearing your history of cramping in middle abominal region above vagina and bleeding i would advise you to do CT scan of whole abdomen.
You also need to take tablet tranexamic acid 500 mg twice daily after food for 3 days to stop bleeding.
For cramping you can apply hot water bag and if it still persist then you can take tablet Hyoscine butylbromide 10 mg after food for 3 days.
It could be menstrual problem but since bleeding has occured to be on the safe side a scan is nedded to see if any lesion has develoved in the abdomen.
I think it is a menstrual problem. But to be on the safe side you must do a CT scan of the whole abdomen. Tablet Tranexamic acid can be taken 500 mg twice daily after food for 5 days to stop bleeding.
For cramping pain I would advise you to take tablet Buscopan 10 mg once daily after food for 3 days.
