Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms points towards acid reflux secondary to excessive stress..
Due to acid reflux you have a sour taste in mouth because the acid from stomach regurgitates to throat and mouth.
As per the explanation it seems that you have on and off acid reflux and this is the reason that endoscopy has no abnormal finding..
The treatment for acid reflux is definitely done by advising Proton pump inhibitors [PPI's] but in case if you do not want to take PPI''S then first of all you should control the stress and anxiety by doing meditation, keeping yourself engaged in activities of your choice and if needed anti-anxiety medicines like Lorazepam can be taken after advise from a physician.

Lifestyle modifications can help like:

1. Avoid spicy and acidic foods and large meals.
2. Take small meals every 2 hours.
3. Drink plenty of water.
4. Take antacids like Milk of magnesia half an hour before lunch and dinner.
5. Take food atleast 2 hours before sleeping.
6. Take short walk before sleeping.
7. Sleep with head slightly raised as compared to legs.

Hopefully you will find improvement with these remedies but still the best way is controlling stress..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
