What Causes Cramps After Taking Misoprostol?

My dr prescribed 2 pills of 200mcg of Misoprostol to use 1 two days in a row 24 hours apart. Took one this am and I got a little cramps that s all. I ll take another tomorrow am. This seems like a low dose? Am I wasting my time? Btw I had a missed miscarriage. Baby quit growing at 6w5d. It s been 2 weeks.

Misoprostol is a drug used for contractions of uterus. Due to this action of contaction of uterus it is used for missed abortion to expell product of conception Due to contraction of uterus and intestine your feeling cramps. There is nothing to worry. Cramps will subside once the drug has completed its action.You can discuss with your Doctor regarding the low dose of misoprostol.
