I have a 21 month old son who has had an upper resp tract infection viral illness started 2 weeks ago. For the last six days he has had abdominal cramps with associated wind, diarrhoea. The picture is complicated by the fact that he also became constipated at one point but that seemed to clear leading to diarrhoea afterwards. The main problem are these colicky pains he gets every thirty to fourth minutes. He is exhausted. We are giving home lots of diarrolyte. We changed him over to lactose free formula milk but still cramping. He has had a history of lactose intolerance we think in the past with viral illnesses.
