What Causes Cramps At The Perineum?

I've noticed that every once in a while I get what I can only describe as a mild cramp in my perineum when I cough. Its doesn't happen all the time and I wouldn't say that it hurts but it is something that I notice. I am concerned that it may be a hernia. Any thoughts?

urethral calculus or stricture - referred pains of uterine contractions -
others
* Hernia is obvious bulge visible or palpable underneath the skin , which
is totally separate entity from cramps in perineum .
