Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past 4 days I have been awakened with an extreme cramp in my glutis Maximus . I also have been experiencing pain in my upper arm fornabout a month or two. Are these pains related? They both subside with moving around, but the pain in my GM lasts for a agonizing 10 minutes or so.
The symptoms seem to be related to a muscle cramp. I suggest using a spasmolytic such as Baclofen three times a day. I also suggest using magnesium supplement twice a day. Warm compresses can also be helpful in relieving the cramps.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
