Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having cramping like charlie horses in the arches of my feet at night and sometimes have to get out of bed and stand on the floor until they stop. Also sometimes when I am talking on the phone and hang up, my fingers get stuck in a holding position and I have to straighten them out with the other hand. Am I afraid I may be getting MS or other serious ailment.

What Causes Cramps In The Feet At Night?
Hello, The most probable cause will be peripheral vascular disease due to poor blood supply to the feet. Consult a general surgeon and get a vascular Doppler to assess the blood flow. As of now you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. We have to rule out other possibilities like neuropathy also. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
