What Causes Cramps Without Bleeding In Elderly Over 80?

I am 80 years old. I have cramps (no bleeding) every month. I have had a biopsy and many other tests to see if I have cancer--I do not. My doctor doesn t want to give me hormones but I do use a small amount of etrace salve twice weekly - with little relief. Any ideas?
