Hi. I am a type 2 diabetic and also have hypertension. I ve noticed in the past year that about a week or 2 before my menstrual cycle, I crave salt a great deal. I ve noticed myself eating jars of pickles and olives and also anything (with salt) that will give me some form of satisfaction. After I get my menstrual cycle, the craving pretty much disappears. What causes this and is there anything I can do that will curve this craving?
