Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello im kristel 24 years old. I have this feeling about my legs feels like something is crawling in the muscles like worms specially if I dont move it..I always want to stretch it or massage it because its disturbing.feels like im giggling some say its a sign og diabetes. Is it possible?
Your symptoms are suggestive of Restless leg Syndrome. Peripheral neuropathy (including that related to diabetes ) can mimic this situation too. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and performing nerve conduction studies, coupled with some blood lab tests (complete blood count and iron levels for anemia, blood electrolytes, vitamin D and vitamin B12 plasma levels).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
