Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history related to your boyfriend is complaining of a crawling sensation in his testicles and sometimes by his rectum. He said he experiences it periodically while sitting and relaxing. He said there is no pain or itching, however the crawling sensation is driving him nuts. Can anyone shed some light on what may be wrong? This may be a classical symptoms of prostatitis giving pain deep in rectum and scrotum also. I would advise the following in such a situation: - Clinical evaluation, examination and per-rectal digital examination gives a lots of information. - Ultrasonography and color doppler examination of the abdomen and the scrotum gives further information. - IF this is infective a long course of antibiotic, prostatic massage and all are needed as required. - Further test of blood, urine and semen culture and sensitivity will all help in a curative treatment.
