My 17 year old daughter has crusty eyes, swollen lips, and a very sore throat. Her throat is so sore, she is crying. I took her to the doctor today and she was prescribed some eye drops to help with the pain in her eyes and was told to stop taking the topical and oral medication her dermatologist prescribed for her to see if she could possibly be having an allergic reaction to the medication. I had to call back shortly after we got home because she was crying again about her sore throat. The doctor called in a prescription for a gargle that is supposed to numb the throat. It didn t work, she s still crying, and now the doctor s office is closed. Do you know what this could possibly be and is there anything else I can give to her to help her with the sore throat until the doctor s office opens tomorrow or should I take her to Urgent Care?
