What Causes Crusty Particles On Nipples During Puberty?
My 13 year old daughter has not started her period but she is developing breasts and other signs of puberty. She has a small amount of crusty particles on her nipples, similar to what I got when I was pregnant toward the end of my pregnancy when I was starting to make colostrum. Is this normal for puberty or something she should be seen by her doctor for? There is no discharge or sign of infection.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Crusty particles on the nipples during breast development in puberty is due to the little secretion which comes out of the nipples under the hormonal changes in puberty. There is nothing to worry about. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
