I am eight months pregnant and early last week found a 1 1/2 inch spot on my scalp that feels like it might be a sebacous cyst. I have never had one before but women in my family are prone to them. I am wondering if this happens in pregnancy and who I should see about it, a gp or a dermatologist?
If the cyst is concerning to you, I would get checked out by a dermatologist. If you don't have any symptoms from it, it would also be reasonable to wait until after you deliver to get it checked out. Sebaceous cysts are caused by clogged ducts and generally are nothing to worry about.
