What Causes Dark Blemishes Around The Arms And Legs?

I have very dark blemishes on the outside of my arms and legs. I ve been to several dermatology doctors. No one has given me a solution about clearing them up or making them lighter. I ve had this problem since a teenager, I am now 49 years old and embarresed to wear dresses and shorts, or short sleeve shirts.

Hi.
As per your case history hyperpigmentation on arms and legs. It is probably due to vitamin b12 deficiency.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30.
2. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months.
3. Apply a glycolic acid lotion like glyaha lotion once at night on dark skin.
4. Other treatment options are topical steroid, kojivit and chemical peels done only by a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
