What Causes Dark Brown Colored Stool?

hi doctor, after umbilical surgery going to be almost one month and there is some bowl changes. In my stool yellow color and dark brown. Why this happening ? is that because of surgery ? how long this will continue ? i did lab test my stool and found OCCULT BLOOD .Myself Johnson John

Welcome to HCM. Sorry about your trouble, please note that if you have occult positive blood after surgery, you need this worked up. Please visit with your regular doctor or surgeon and explain what is going on. It is too coincidental that after surgery now you have bleeding. Hope this helps. Good luck.
