I developed a dark brown patch on my wrist on the pinky side. It s not a bruise and it seems at time to be dry skin. I use lotion and have even used a like nail file to file it down and dry skin does come off. It never goes away and I haven t ever has this problem before.
The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is chtonic eczema which is a disorder characterised by scaly plaques in people having dry skin.Topical mild steroid cream like mometasone can be applied over the affected area. Emolients containing liquid paraffin can be used on affected area and surrounding skin to take care of the dry skin.Oral antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used if there is ithing . Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
