What Causes Dark Brown Urine?

If I don t have a pain and in the morning I went to bathroom normal and then in at work about 11:00 am I went to urinate and it came out dark brown like coca cola after that I have several glasses of water and at 5:00 pm I was vary light with a little dark .. could it be the food and a couple of drinks ?

Dear- thanks for using our service .Dark urine that improves after drinking a lot of water most likely was secondary to concentrated urine due to dehydration . Other possibilities are occult blood from any kidney stone,urinary tract infection or cystitis. However, those conditions don't improve so fast with just water. I think that this situation was secondary to dehydration mostly because you had alcohol intake the night before and that can cause increased urinary output and dehydration.
