What Causes Dark Brown Vaginal Discharge With Odor?
So 5 weeks ago I delivered without complication (no vaginal tears) I was bleeding like normal for 2 weeks after delivery until it stopped but for the past 3 days my discharge has been dark brown with a slight odor accompanied with sharp vaginal pain sometimes. I started taking birth control (Tri- Previfem) about 2 weeks ago so I don t know if that could be my body reacting to it or something more serious? I don t have any other symptoms but the dark brown discharge and the occasional sharp vaginal pain. Also I ve been sexual active for 3 weeks and been using the pull out method. Do I have to worry?

Hi, I think it can be due to vaginal infection. So, you may need some antibiotics to treat it. Consult a gynecologist. You may need some vaginal pessary also. Hope I have answered your question.
