What Causes Dark Discoloration On The Soles And Sides Of The Feet?

Hello, I was wondering why the bottoms and sides of my feet are dark colored. I was once told that this is a sign of illness. I am so obsessed about this that I look at other women s feet, if they are wearing shoes that show the sides, to see what theirs look like.

Hi,

I understand your concern.

The dark coloured on your bottoms and sides of your feet are indicating haematoma. Blood is not circulating well in your legs.

Should look for dark spots higher than your feet in your legs. Varicose vein should be ruled out.
If no varicose vein, then, should get a complete neurological examination of your feet to determine the right diagnosis.

All the best.
