What Causes Dark Discolouration And Blisters On The Legs While Treating Neuropathy?

HI I am caretaker for my 85 yr old mother who has Alzheimers and Nueropothy in her feet and legs, She sleeps a lot and eats very little. She has discomfort on her heiny due to a bedsore. I had it totally cleared up except the black and blue mark. Today it looks like it was never cleared up. Raw sores, looks like blisters that have popped. What do I put on it to heal it before it gets infected? Thank you!

Hi,

Use any sterile dressing and use an air mattress in the bed. Keep turning her regularly every 2 hours. Keep the wound dry and clean. These are precautions required to prevent infection. No particular medicine will help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
