What Causes Dark Pigmentation Around Nose?

Hi doctor, Around my nose ( at the corner of my nose) is getting darker, it s been 2 years. I ve never actually do anything to it, just wash my face sometimes at night, and apply moisturizer (if i remember or if i m not so tired) i dont do make up as a daily routine, just on a special occasion, not even a bb cream, foundation ect. Sometimes it feels so dry and flaky, and itchy so i ll just apply moisturizer. And lat month down my lower lips start to getting black, what should i do?? :(( Thankyou so much doctor.

Hello,
I can understand your concern for dark pigmentation around nose.
After analyzing your query I can make out that you have Dyssebacia which is a part of seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Dyssebacia is skin condition characterized by flaky, greasy scales. Later on these coalese to form small reddish or yellowish dots on the side nose, or other area of face. After a period of time this causes mil inflammation and then resultant pigmentation near side of nose.

In my patients I generally prescribe an antifungal cream such as ketoconazole and give Niacin and riboflavin ( B complex capsule). I also sugget you to take a lot of fruits and green vegetables in your diet.
