What Causes Dark Red Lump On The Floor Of Mouth?

HI, I used chewing tobacco for a year and a half and just recently quit. I am 18 years old. A couple days ago, I noticed a dark red lump on the "floor" of my mouth directly below the tongue. It is not rock hard, but it is not soft either. It doesn't hurt either. I am worried. Help?

It may or may not be related with your habit. Is there any trauma recently.? Use tandem mouth wash for a week and consult a dentist soon
