What Causes Dark Stool?

2 yr. old grandson has dark stool for approx. 3 days. Recently started having chewable vitamins sans iron. Also has been eating mini-oreo cookies daily for several days. My daughter is afraid he has blood in stool. I have tried to reassure her that it most likely is from oreos. Please confirm.

Hi, welcome to healthcare magic forum. I understood your problem. No need to worry much. As he is taking Oreo cookies more, because of that he is having dark stool. Better try to stop it.Once he will stop it stool colour will turns into normal. Try to convince her to stop those cookies.

Regards,

Thanks.
