What Causes Dark Urine After Taking Minocycline?

Hi, I ve been taking Minocycline 100MG per day for peri-oral dermatitis and rosacea. I ve been taking it since May 21st. I ve noticed lately that my urine is darker about an hour after taking it and the dark urine lasts for about 2 pees, then after that is normal looking. Is this something to be concerned about? I.E. liver problems?

Hello!
Thank you for asking Healthcaremagic!
I understand your concern!
Answer: One of the side effects of using minocycline is liver damage. Dark urine may be a symptom of liver altered function.
I suggest you to consult your doctor and make blood test for liver function (AST, ALT).
And if there is any damage you have to stop using it.

Hope my answer was helpful!
