What Causes Dark Vaginal Bleeding And Unpleasant Odour After Discontinuing Depo-shot?

So i have a question, i was on the depo shot. But stopped because the last couple weeks i was bleeding. I was fine the first 2 months. Then i started getting this really dark brown discharge sometimes bloody. Smells like a really strong fishy smell. That won’t stop. I don’t have cramps or anything and for a while i did think it was a UTI because my bladder still felt like there was some left in it. What could it be? It’s pretty much just bleeding on and off and the fishy odor. Could it be a bacteria? Or the blood left inside of me that smells that way?

Hello,

Depo-Provera is a high hormone containing drug.
It interferes with normal menstruation and prevents pregnancy.
Irregular or absent periods is a regular feature of the drug.
When the Depo-Provera shots are withdrawn, the regular supply of hormone to the uterus is broken, so there is withdrawal bleeding, which may last for a prolonged time start.

The color and smell of bleeding are due to prolonged disturbance of menstruation. /infection in the genital tract.
You need to check your urine sample for routine checkups and culture if needful. Also, vaginal swab testing is advised for excluding genital infection, followed by needful treatment.
