Hi,

There may be blood collected underneath the nail due to trauma. It is called subungual hematoma. If there is pain, take pain killer. Take vitamin C 500 mg thrice a day for long time. As the nail grows, the clot of blood will also progress distally. And the time will come when the clot will be removed automatically, and the condition will clear. So, have patience and let the time pass.

Hope this helps.
