Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Melacare is a steroid based cream and is a combination of Hydroquinone,Tretinoin and Mometasone Furoate that is a steroid..
Initial use of steroid containing cream can give good results as it tend to improve skin complexion by reducing pigmentation..
But long term use of steroid cream on face has deleterious effects like skin thinning, rashes, pimples, inflammation, increased hair growth, dilated veins under skin..
Another drawback is that once the use of cream is stopped the skin starts turning darker again..
I would therefore advise you not to start using it again..
You can start using safer depigmentation creams that may take some time to improve complexion but will atleast not cause severe side effect on face..
You can start washing your face with Salicylic acid and glycolic acid containing facewash..
You can apply creams containing Kojic acid, glycolic acid and arbutin..
Vitamin E and C containing creams can help..
Creams that are rich in licorice extract and grapeseed extract can be helpful..
Always apply a sunscreen lotion to reduce photosensitivity effect..
You should exfoliate your skin twice a week with a gentle face scrub..
Treatments like chemical peeling, Photofacial, Microdermabrasion, dermal rollers etc can be helpful..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
