What Causes Death In A Person With Newly Installed Insulin Pump?
I am researching the possible cause of death in near relatives as part of a genetic study for my son. I need to list early deaths in the family. One relative died at age 34 and the death certificate lists cause of death "undetermined", the only thing her mother can tell me is she had an insulin pump and they know she had just put new insulin in it. They found her on the floor, foaming at the mouth, she died in the ambulance. Was this more likely diabetes related or heart related. I am trying to rule out aortic dissection. My son has Marfan's syndrome.

Your suspicion might be right as there is an increased chance of having Aortic dissection in marfan syndrome.
but we can not attribute to hypoglycemia by insulin pump.
you can check the insulin also like how much has been consumed.which might give clue to cause of death.
sudden death might be dude to myocardial infarction also
