What Causes Decrease In Urinary Flow?

Hello, I'm a 24 year old woman who's having issues with urination. I used to have to go a lot throughout the day and now it's cut in less than half and when I do go the flow stops and starts the whole time. Also, there is far less that is coming out. I have no physical pain, burning, or odor, just the stream stopping and starting and urinating a lot less than what I'm used to. Any idea what this could be caused by?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my surgical experience, the decrease urine flow without pain or burning narrates possible underlying narrowing of the urethral passage.

In our clinic, we recommend a radiologic evaluation with ascending urethrography with or without cystoscopy for the diagnosis of the condition and further management guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
