What Causes Decreased Kidney Function While On Finasteride?
I am senior female, losing hair in what my dermatologist says is both male and female pattern baldness; he prescribed finasteride, 2.5 mg. five days a week. In the last few months since I ve been taking it, I have had evidence of reduced kidney function and I wonder if there could be a connection?

It would not be expected to do that. Certainly kidney function declines with age and with other diseases that associate with hair loss (diabetes), I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, this would be a coincidence.
