What Causes Decreased Urination?

My dr put me on hydrochlorot 12.5mg for high blood pressure, she said I would go to the bathroom a lot. I have on and off pain on the left middle/lower back. I drink a lot do water but I barely go to the bathroom and when I do it s very dark and I feel very bloated. I no longer have insurance so I can t see her again and can t afford the emergency room. Any suggestions on what I can do on my own to help myself?

Urologist 's  Response
Hi
Please record your urine volumes and if it is less than 1.5 litre on an average then that may be the possible reason for dark urine and low urine volume despite hydrochlorot.

The other possible causes of dark urine include presence of blood, pus or proteins in urine which can be revealed by a urine analysis.

Hence increase your fluid intake and get a routine urine analysis done. If urine analysis is abnormal I would recommend ultrasound of urinary tract.
