What Causes Deformity And Puffiness Of Finger?

my granddaughter is 8 years old, her knuckles are so indented you can barely see them, she is a little pudgy by not overweight or more than most children her age, but her finges are puffy in front and behind her knuckles, looks defromed. I ask if her fingers hurt, she says no, but she does make them crack whenever she wants. Could this be serious? thanks,

Hi
I have read through your question and understand your concerns, according to what you have mentioned the puffiness of the fingers may be a normal phenomena. If you are still doubtful please look for the following:

- any behavioural problems , low iq, sluggish behaviour, (these may associate with hypothyroidism which may cause fingers to swell)

-any difficulty in using her fingers normally like other people..?

If you don't find any of the above signs then it is less likely that your grand daughter may be suffering from anything serious.

god bless...
