What Causes Delay In Conception While On Metronidazole?

I currently take metronidazole pretty frequently because I get bv very easily. my question is, does this medication hurt my chances of conceiving? we have been trying for over a year and a half now, but I read somewhere that antibiotics can stop ovulation from occurring.

Metronidazole is not to be taken when you are trying to conceive.
So omit metronidazole now ..
Avoid metronidazole till 14 weeks of pregnancy.
Perineal hygeine will help in preventing repeated episodes of bacterial vaginosis.
