Hallow Dear,

Duphaston is a progestational medicine. You need to take it for 5 days for inducing menses. Then within 4-7 days of discontinuation of the pills, withdrawal bleeding takes place. Please take the pills for 5 days.

Of course, it is mandatory to rule out the pregnancy either by urine pregnancy test or Beta hCG test on the blood before you attempt induction of delayed menstruation. Duphaston will not get you withdrawal bleeding if you are pregnant. In that case, you will have to opt for medical termination of pregnancy.

I hope this clarifies your doubts.
