What Causes Delay In Period After IUD Insertion?

hi, please advice i had insert IUD on September 2013, and now iam delaying my period for 7days
had check pregnancy test by my self but it is negative,

had meet up with doctor and she gave me Norcutin to take for 5 days, do it safe. Please advice.

may i pregnant??

Hi,
I understand your concern.
When IUD is inserted by an expert & when it is in place ( not displaced) there is very rare chance of conception.Failure rate is very very less ( less than 1%) .
The period may be late due to physical/psychological stress/ weakness/ following illness/ hormonal imbalance.
Tab. Norcutin is a hormonal preparation which is harmless( except in pregnancy) & regulates period most of the times.
-Get your Cu T checked up by your doctor,
- Get investigated for finding the cause of irregular period in case the problem recurs.
