What Causes Delay In Periods After Taking Nu Isterate Shot?

I started family planning on Jan 25 2011,got a nu isterate shot and my periods stopped until April 11 2011,I haven`t seen my periodss since.And now I feel weird and susepct that i`m preg .I WENT for my next shot on July .can that pose a danger to my unborn baby?
