What Causes Delay In Periods And Cramps While Taking Clomid And Progesterone Pills?
Actually I have PCOS and m on clomid (5-9days)and progesterone pills (20-25 day of period)every month. Last month I got my period on 3rd jan and in dec13 periods was on 29nov13. Still I didn't get my periods and I have cramps and sometimes white discharge. I feel vomit sometimes. I took pregnancy test on 30th jan14 but it was negative.. what to do.should I talk with mu doc. or wait for a week for another pregnancy test and periods?
I hope you conceived and one more pregnancy test now should give you the answer. if you are unsuccessful this cycle I hope you are successful in the next. It sometimes can take several courses of Clomid. It sounds like you are under the care of someone who knows the right thing to do. Clomid works by decreasing the hormone levels which are elevated in PC OS patients. This should then induce ovulation. If you are using a basal body temperature chart or an ovulation indicator urine test then you should know if the Clomid was effective. Progesterone stabilize the lining of the uterus and that is probably why it was prescribed. It can also make the menstrual cycle lighter or delay it a few days. Of course if you are pregnant you may not see it. At all. I wish you the best of luck. I hope this explanation helps.
