Hi,

Postinor being an emergency contraceptive has hormonal content. It acts by postponing ovulation. Thus, disturbed your routine menstrual cycle and delay it by 8 - 10 days. So you would get delayed periods. Please have barrier contraceptive protection these days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
