What Causes Delay In Periods While On Birth Control?

Hi! I'm using althea pills for months now and last March I forgot to take 2 pills..I followed the direction provided in the leaflet. I took the last pill that I forgot to take then throw the other one and continue taking the remaining pills. I'm expecting my period but it's been 33 days since my last period.
