What Causes Delay In Periods?

Hi, I was supposed to get my period the first week of the month. At least that is usually when I have been getting it. I am very gassy and hungry a lot more recently. I took a urine pregnancy test and it came back negative. I don t know what is going on.

First of all ,You have to tell me your age, no. of kids you have, age of your last baby, any other medical or recent surgical history and any medication you are taking.
There are so many causes of delayed periods .If you are young i.e below 35 and you are breast feeding your baby ,or you are taking oral pills for long time. This could be a reason.
For women above 35 there are other causes.
a stressful situation can be the cause of delayed period.
If you are absolutely normal then It is necessary for all of you to get an Ultrasound lower abdomen done.,And if it is normal get your thyroid profile and serum prolactine level done
