HI, me and my girlfriend had sex on the 23rd of this month and our condom broke, and the next day she took a morning after pill. And took the second tablet exactl 12 hours later.
Its been two days now and she still hasnt hit her peroid.
should i be worried?
The very fact she had taken morning after pill within 24 hours of the unprotected sex, she is well protected against pregnancy from this intercourse. These morning after pills have some after effects:
1. Few days after the consumption of the pill, some bleeding for a couple of days may occur which is a normal phenomenon and does not need any medical attention.
2. Period following the pill usually gets delayed by about few days to a week or so. Please wait for few more days and she will get menses. If even after a week she does not get the menses, you may get her pregnancy status confirmed by urine pregnancy test or Beta hCG test.
One more advice my dear friend: To prevent rupturing of the condom during intercourse, always pinch the tit in fingers to expel all the air from it and then wear it with pinched tit, on the erected penis only.
I hope this helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nishikant Shrotri
