What Causes Delay In Withdrawal Bleeding After Taking Cytotec?

Hi!I am 5weeks and 3 days pregnant. I took cytotec (cant continue with the pregnancy) administered both orally and viganally.I took the first dosage on Sunday 7:45pm and 2nd dosage after 3 hours.There was a little cramping but no bleeding.In the morning i was having a little spottting and lasted the whole day.As adviced, i took another dosage on Monday night, got cramping (bearable) but no bleeding instead same little spotting.And now the spotting turned to brownish in color. I wonder if the medicine is working or not.Thank you for your assistance.

I really appreciate your concern. For abortion cytotec or misoprostol is used along with mifepristone. First mifepristone is taken orally then use misoprostol within 48 hours. Usually misoprostol should be taken around 12-18 hours after mifepristone. If you have not followed the dosing schedule then consult your local doctor or you can retake the medicine properly.

After abortion by this method completeness of abortion should be checked after 2 weeks by USG abdomen.
