What Causes Delayed Liquefaction Of Semen?

Hi Doctor, my semen analysis report showed that the liquefaction time is not observed after 3 hours, I heard that it might be due to infection but my doctor didn t mention it, he prescribed me Bisolvon for one month to decrease viscosity, my question is what type of infections is expected? is HIV one of them? and can I go with Bisolvon alone without treating the infection?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Yes it could be due to infection but not HIV, usually common bacteria that cause urine infection. You can do culture sensitivity of semen to confirm if you have infection. Your doctor has prescribed the right drug. You can take it even if there is infection.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
