What Causes Delayed Period And Vaginal Spotting While HPT Is Negative?

I have been in the nuva ring for a few years and took it out in early September , a few days later I had a normal period. I was expected to have my next period on October 7 and did but it only lasted a day and is now gone. It was a day of spotting. I m trying to concieve and wondering if the hormones are easing me up . I also had a negative pregnancy test

Hello,

The spotting you experienced for a day might be implantation bleeding, the bleeding that occurs after conceiving. The home pregnancy test shows accurate results after 7 days of conceiving. So if you took the test before that, it would be advisable to take another test with another brand.

Sometimes it is observed that home pregnancy tests do give false positive or negative results, even though they are considered accurate in most cases. In that case, you should go for a blood test. They are always accurate regarding pregnancy.
