What Causes Delayed Period With Prolonged Brownish Discharge And Cramping?
I have not started my period this month and on the day or week I was suppose to start i went to the restroom and noticed instead of blood it came out like and orangish color and was like that for a coule days. Then after 3 days and on the 4th day I used restroom and I had a brown discharge with very light blood. And before I was not cramping but now im cramping like im going to start but nothing. Could I be pregnant? Or something else wrong?
Hello, Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. If you never had a delayed period earlier and are sexually active, pregnancy should be suspected. I would suggest a home pregnancy test/blood test followed by a sonogram of the pelvis preferably in the trans-vaginal route. If positive, threatened/missed abortion should be suspected based on the viability. The orange spotting is likely to be the implantation bleed followed by issue of collected blood in case of a healthy viable pregnancy. If negative, hormone imbalance is suspected after excluding local causes and treated accordingly. Hope this helps.
